nosagcd 131 - SVANHOLM SINGERS - LIVE IN JAPAN

The male choir Svanholm Singers is really ”Big in Japan” - made several tours in the east and this CD is the result of recordings from some of the concerts the choir made the last three times it visited the land of the cherry blossom.
Already the first number - Bartók´s Négy régi magyar népdal - sets the level from nineteen singers and their conductor Sofia Söderberg Eberhard, with crisp, rhythmically exact and amazingly well sounding singing.
The program contains, part from Bartók´s Hungary, a rich collection music from Finland, Russia, Sweden, Iceland, Estonia, Indian America, England, and of course from Japan, sung in perfect Japanese!

Also please remember nosag records´ last release with Svanholm Singers - ”december” (nosag CD 105) with beautiful X-mas songs.
