This Choir from a little congregation in the Stockholm suburb Hässelby here collaborates with two of Sweden´s most well-known musicians - Georg Riedel, double bass player who wrote outrageous numbers of pieces of music, mostly with a jazz touch, and Stefan Nilsson, pianist who works very much with writing film music. Hässelbybladet:"(---) You meet a varied contents on this CD. The Choir han chosen to sing most of the music a cappella, but we also find collaboration with jazz musicians Georg Riedel and Stefan Nilsson. I am impressed by this choir! Well sung, clean clang and good, clear lyrics makes this production very good. The repertory is well picked, even if one slightly more energetic song could have been, as most of the material is in meditative style. There is a great happy spirit in the playing of Riedel and Nilsson, but the choir is at its best in the a cappella material. (---) |
